*Saturday Getaway*
Had to wake up at an insane hour on a saturday morning to make it in time for our Saturday Getaway but it was worth it!!! first we set off to cross the causeway which resulted in a minor jam along the way to the woodlands checkpoint after that it was a short stop to grab some breaky along one of the shop houses on the roadside of JB not fantastic but at least no food poisoning hehe :P then we bought some tidbits from the shop next to the kopitiam we ate at. And yes I am struggling to control my urge to eat what i bought but yes I can do it!!! hahaha...
After that, our next stop is at the bee farm or fruit farm to sample some of natures wonder...honey!!! yum yum...always like honey...honey is good for so many things...when u have a sore throat just drink some honey and lemon it feels real good hehe..even if u tink it has no healing effect jz drink it cuz it tastes yummy anyway hehehe..honey on chicken wings..even mroe yummier...honey in tea...becomes honey tea...and the list goes on and on and on....after that we stop at this seafood restaurant in the middle of nowhere...well..nowhere to me..haha..but the food was FANTASTIC!! (yes steffi...duno why but my entries tend to revolve arnd food hahah) they had lobster...yes REAL lobsters..not those lobster lookalike hahaha...and man they were superb..really nice..the rest of the food they served was also really good.
Next was a stop at the herbal farm...that didnt really impress me much..for one, im not much of a plant enthusiast hahah...and the weather was seriously unbearable, it was hot, sticky and lots and lots of mozzies and flies...next was the infamous kota tinggi waterfall...man that was superb..except for the multitude of mozzie bites I got, but other than that it was truly enjoyable, me and F are thinking of making a road trip there or something cuz at the waterfall there is a resort and when we walk past the houses look really nice...well 'look' clean too..haha not sure how true that is until u go inside u know...but we took some fantastic shots of the waterfall.. hehehe...and oh yea they had HEAPS of monkeys and i mean HEAPS near the entrance of the waterfall..not sure why they are there but sure made a great tourist attraction!
After that was a short ride towards town for our early dinner...early as we needed to catch the fire fly boat ride by 7.15pm...the food wasnt as good as the one at lunch...it was only so-so..but the boat ride sure made up for it, it was such a cooling and serene ride...no mozzies, no flies..just me, the boat and my darling..hehe...yea a little mushy...too bad!! hahaha...but the fire flies was FANTASTIC...they told us we were really lucky bcuz that night was one of the rarest nights where there were more than usual numbers of fire flies...they lite up the trees like xmas trees...so beautiful..some of the kids tried to catch the fire flies and some succeeded but both me and F thought they should release it back u know. Some things are just not meant to be kept.
After the boat ride, we made our way bk to good ol spore...man trips like these always make me treasure the progress and our way of life bk in spore. Yes I think F will be rather surprised that I'm actually not complaining bout Spore for once..:P but I think we are truly blessed as a nation compared to places like Msia, Thailand, and some of the other Asian nations. This is one of those occasions that we must truly thank the Govt for doing such a great job! ...man make me feel somewat pariotic now...hehe...
right...anyhow I better stop here otherwise F will complain.."why your blog got so many words one??" hahaha
