*farewell dinner*
Yes so last night we went to Tung Lok restaurant somewhere in Jurong for F's farewell dinner by his previous posting. If you ask me..army guys are sure a strange breed...hahaha yes I know what I'm saying I'm about to marry one and Im saying they are a strange breed... but after last night...somehow yes I have succumb to the idea that they are indeed another 'species' hahaha. "Why have I come to this conclusion" you might ask...well quite simple..last night just sitting around with 11 army guys on 1 big table a lot of umm..'characteristics' were revealed. Nothing disgusting like they drool as they ate or ate with their mouths open, but its their mannerisms, their thought process even and the way they treat one another that is so unlike any corporate culture you might find in spore. I found it half amusing and half ridiculous.. hahaha...but I did have a nice time eating til i couldnt hardly move...it was a la carte buffet and man they just kept ordering...after a while I decided it just wasnt worth it to keep up wif them hahah...their stomachs are like bottomless pits!
Btw you know this term 'farewell' dinner is actually rather deceiving hahaha...rather than the person bidding farewell receiving the treat, it's the other way round. So basically F had to pay for last night's dinner and can I just say Tung Lok aint exactly cheap either!! but the guys were really nice, F had already told them that if they choose a fancy restaurant he will only be able to pay a certain amount and the rest they had to split amongst themselves and they did just that. I thought that was such a nice gesture as I suppose most would have just not cared and make the guy pay for all.
Feel like I'm counting down the days til I touch down in Perth...cant wait...so so so excited but F will be leaving next friday *sob* so yea...will be a little sad...he'll be gone for 3 wks...not sure what i'm gg to do with myself...think I'll have to find ways to entertain myself kekeke.
